


Does Medicare pay for in home care?
Medicare will pay the first 20 days, when a person has come from a 3 day or longer hospital stay. Care must come within 30 days of hospital stay and must be related to the hospital stay. A co-payment of $92 a day is required for the next 80 days. No coverage is provided after 100 days.
Does Medicaid pay for Home Health Care?
In most states Medicaid would only pay if a person had no more than $2,000 of savings, with some allowance for other expenses. For couples the amount is higher, but with limitations. There is now in the state of Tennessee a Medicaid waiver program that allows up to 35 hours per week of home care regardless of finances. This is through Tenncare.
Does Long Term Care Insurance Pay for this Care?
Yes, in most cases. Some of the older policies pay for Facility care only, but we have many clients who have Long Term Care Insurance.
How can I be sure that the Caregiver coming into my home is trustworthy?
Our company does extensive background and reference checks on every person we hire. These Caregivers are our employees and not contract workers. We use a professional service to provide 10 year criminal background checks, Abuse Registry, Motor vehicle reports, National Sex offender reports, Out of State probation, and finger printing.
What Kind of Training Do your Employees Receive?
In addition to a strong Educational and employment history, we also place a significant emphasis on intangible chrachter traits including a caring personality, a strong desire to help people.
My loved one has special needs and requires someone who understands?
Our employees are trained and selected according to the individual that we are caring for. Our representative will come to your home and do a full assessment and get to know the unique needs and desires of the person we will be caring for. If for any reason you or your loved one is not pleased with the Caregiver we send you are welcome and encouraged to inform us so we can find another person who is a better fit.
Who determines the schedule and what are minimums?
You determine the schedule you want. It can be anytime of the day or evening and different times on different days. We do operate in 4-hour blocks. We also provide 24-hour care when needed.
Is there a contract involved, or a minimum period required?
No, the only paperwork you sign is to give us authority to come into your home.
Do you provide care for people with Alzheimer’s, or Dementia?
Yes, as we stated earlier we assess every individual we will care for and match that person with a Caregiver who is trained and experienced in that area.
How are Caregivers Selected?
Because we are not a large franchise agency we have the ability and time to more carefully select and screen each potential Caregiver, in fact, we only hire the most experienced applicants. A Human Resource Specialist on our staff interviews every candidate who works for Eagle Staffing. As a minimum, our Caregivers are required to complete training mandated through Tennessee Association of Home Care from which members of our staff have received training.
Do your Caregivers provide references?
Our Staff must provide quality references which are meticulously checked. These references are typically from Nursing Homes, Assisted Care facilities, Families, hospitals, and or volunteer organizations.
Can I meet prospecitve Caregivers?
We encourage our clients to meet with more than one Caregiver in advance of service, so that they may choose the Caregiver they are most comfortable with.
